Introduction
Dreamer Haven Art Cafe is a small independent artist-led cafe in George Town, Penang, founded by artist Melody Pang. W. E. What began as a cafe has gradually grown into a space where art, cats, creativity and human connection come together.
Over the years, the café has grown beyond its role. It has become a small platform for art, creative expression, social connection, and community activities, bringing together artists, art lovers, hobbyists, students, travellers, and local communities.
The space regularly hosts and supports creative and community-based activities, including Dreamers Art Pop-Up, and Let’s Gather Social & Hobbies Club. Through these activities, Dreamer Haven hopes to make art and creativity more accessible while creating opportunities for people to meet, share their interests, discover new hobbies, and build meaningful connections.
The café also welcomes partnerships with established and emerging arts initiatives. Its venue partnership with Open Studios Penang reflects Dreamer Haven’s commitment to contributing to a wider network of independent creative spaces in Penang.
At its heart, Dreamer Haven is built around a simple idea: a small space can still create a meaningful community. Today, Dreamer Haven continues to evolve alongside Melody’s journey as an artist.
